We understand the COVID-19 pandemic is causing uncertainty for your travel plans. As challenging as this current situation is, we know it will not last forever and we will get through it together.
For our customers, please be informed that the Public Health Agency of Canada is actively monitoring the current outbreak of COVID-19 and, as of May 13, 2020, Canada’s borders remain closed to all non-essential travel. Each of the provinces are in the process of a relaunch strategy to start to get life back closer to normal. Restaurants, cafes, bars and some stores are re-opening. Plans are in place to open more services step by step.
Regarding trains, Rocky Mountaineer’s season presently remains suspended until July 30, 2020. We are still anxiously awaiting further updates on how travel will look for the remainder of the season. VIA Rail has extended their suspension of the operations of the Canadian train until November 1, 2020. Many of our suppliers have temporarily adjusted their terms and conditions to be more lenient for guests wishing to rebook their trips to a later date without penalty. We are working actively to contact our guests personally on a case by case basis to look at rescheduling your vacation.
We have temporarily changed our office hours to Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 to allow all of us to work as a team to help you reorganize your future travel plans to Canada. We hope that you will keep Canada in your travel plans for the future as something to look forward to.
