Private Jasper Nature Tour

This private tour includes a gentle guided hike through the Maligne Canyon; the deepest accessible canyon in the Canadian Rockies. For most groups, the hike will take you across the first two bridges over the gorge, out of the six bridges in total. During the summer months, you may then continue on through the Maligne Valley to the “disappearing” Medicine Lake, and finally, Maligne Lake.

From June through September, a 1.5-hour cruise on Maligne Lake is included where you’ll have the chance to visit the iconic Spirit Island.

From October to May, you may visit other sites around Jasper such as Pyramid Lake/Pyramid Lake Island, visit the Mount Robson viewpoint, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, or do other activities such as hike the Mary Schaffer Loop, hike out to Moose Lake, or set out in search of wildlife.

This tour is mainly a nature, scenic, and geological voyage, but it is also an excellent opportunity to see some of Jasper’s abundant wildlife with the possibility of seeing elk, moose, bears, big-horned sheep, mountain goats, wolves, and more depending on the time of year.

This tour is approximately 5 hours.

Please be ready and out front of your hotel 5 minutes prior to the pick-up time noted on your itinerary. Please do not bring your luggage with you as you will be returning to your Jasper hotel. Please reference the Voucher column of your itinerary and refer to the corresponding information below:
