Victoria to Vancouver Ferry Details
The Victoria to Vancouver ferry transfer takes approximately 5 hours from pick up to drop off. Once you have been picked up from the Bus Depot (Capital City Station) located at 721 Douglas Street the drive to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal is 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Once onboard the ferry, you’ll have free time during the 1.5-hour sailing to explore the various decks which include restaurants, shops, and plenty of seating. There are also multiple outdoor viewing areas where you can take in the sights of the surrounding Gulf Islands.
As the ferry approaches Vancouver, you’ll board the bus to be driven off the ferry towards downtown Vancouver which is 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic conditions.

Please take a taxi or walk to the Victoria Bus Depot – Capital City Station (721 Douglas Street) for the time listed on your itinerary. This meeting location is directly behind the Fairmont Empress Hotel and is within walking distance of most Victoria hotels. Upon the arrival of the ferry in Vancouver, you will be transferred to your Vancouver hotel or the nearest available drop-off point noted below. The approximate arrival time at your Vancouver hotel will be 5 hours after pick-up in Victoria.
