Travel Advisory: Northern Ontario Wildfire Activity
July 22, 2026
Wildfire activity in Northern Ontario has significantly improved, and active fires are no longer directly affecting rail operations. However, damage to rail infrastructure sustained during the wildfire response continues to impact select trans-Canada rail services while repair work is underway.
Canada Rail Vacations remains in close contact with our travel partners and rail-service providers to monitor the situation and support any guests whose travel plans may be affected. All other rail routes across Canada, including the Canadian Rockies, continue to operate as scheduled.
This page will continue to be updated as new information becomes available.
We are actively contacting any guests whose travel plans may be affected. If your itinerary is not impacted, no action is required.
Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our team.
