Two Nights in Calgary with Touring or The Calgary Stampede

Complete your full Alberta experience with an extended stay in Calgary. Every July for 10 days, Calgary hosts the Calgary Stampede, otherwise known as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. If you are planning to travel on one of our Canadian rail vacation packages while the Stampede is running, we highly recommend that you include this add-on in your plans and one of our Travel Specialists will customize the Add-On to fit your schedule.

During the Calgary Stampede, this add-on includes General Admission tickets, Rodeo tickets, and Grandstand tickets. The rest of the year, we offer a city tour of Calgary, a relaxed start or end to your rail vacation, or an easy jumping-off point for nearby Kananaskis and Drumheller. It can be added to any Canada Rail Vacations package starting or ending in Banff or Calgary.

During this time, General Admission, Rodeo Tickets, and the Grandstand Show will be the highlights of this add-on! Gain access to the free music stages, midway, food stalls, agriculture competitions, dog shows, and the other eclectic, western-themed events that the Stampede has to offer. From Bucking Broncos to Barrel Races, the Stampede Rodeo has every thrilling event that a cowboy or cowgirl can ask for. The Rodeo starts daily at 1:30 PM and runs for three hours.

The Evening Grandstand Show starts with several rounds of chuckwagon and bareback races, and finishes off with elaborate dance numbers, acrobatics, and fireworks. This dazzling finale is the best possible way to close off your day at the Stampede. The evening show starts at 7:45 PM daily and runs for three hours.

For both events, our Travel Specialists will book your tickets for you at a time that fits your travel schedule, making sure that you get the best seats available to enjoy the show.
