Touring Around Québec City, QC
Québec City, dating back to 1608 is one of the oldest European settlements in North America. The European feel is still present today in Old Québec with its old architecture and French-Canadian culture. Québec City is the only fortified city in North America still standing north of Mexico with a wall spanning 4.6 kilometers along the city’s west side which was key to holding off the American invasion of Canada during the War of 1812.
Explore Québec City and the countryside on a full-day sightseeing tour. Start with a complete tour of Old Québec, the Plains of Abraham, the walled city, including the Château Frontenac and Place Royale, and more. After a quick lunch break, you can also enjoy an excursion along the Beaupré coast, including the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica, Montmorency Falls and Île d’Orléans.

Train to Québec City
Whether you are connecting with this package add-on from Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, or Halifax, you’ll be taking the VIA Rail Corridor train route in or out of Québec City. Depending on your connecting city, this train will take anywhere from 3 to 10 hours. We book all of our guests in VIA Rail’s Business Class which includes access to the Business Lounge and Meals & Bar Service onboard.
On train days when you have some free time in Québec City, we recommend exploring the cobblestone streets on foot as it is a very walkable city.
