Banff Hot Springs Information
One of Banff National Park’s greatest traditions is visiting the Upper Hot Springs for a soothing soak in the hot, mineral-rich water. The bath house is a federal heritage building. Relaxing in the outdoor pool among the jagged peaks of Rundle and Cascade Mountains is a magical experience that has drawn visitors to Banff since 1886.
Take in mountain views of the Rundle Range from the Banff Upper Hot Springs hot pool. Enjoy direct access to the hot pool when it is cold or rainy. In the summer, cool off and enjoy the views from the comfort of a red chair on the pool deck.

For most Canada Rail Vacations guests, your visit to the Banff Hot Springs will be independently booked in your free time while visiting Banff. Transit is the best way to access Banff Upper Hot Springs. The Upper Hot Springs has limited parking for cars, RVs, and motor coaches. ROAM Transit Route 1 provides service between Downtown Banff and the Upper Hot Springs. From the transit stop it is a short walk to the hot springs. Free parking is available at the train station parking lot, with paid parking throughout the town of Banff.

Getting to the Banff Hot Springs
To reach the base of Banff Hot Springs we recommend using one of the following options:
Public Transit: The Banff Hot Springs are serviced year-round by Bow Valley ROAM Transit Services and costs CAD $2 per person. Buses run regularly, with stops along Banff Avenue. For more information visit: ROAM Transit, or ask your hotel staff for more details.
Taxi Services: The Banff Hot Springs are a short taxi ride from the Banff Townsite and should cost approximately CAD $20 to $30 depending on traffic conditions. Call Taxi Taxi at 1 403 762 0000 or for more information, visit: Banff Taxi
Driving Directions: From Banff Ave, travel south to the end, turn left after the bridge onto Spray Ave. Stay right onto Mountain Ave and follow that to the end where you will find the Banff Hot Springs entrance. Please note parking at the Banff Hot Springs is very limited.
