Vancouver to Victoria Ferry Details
The Vancouver to Victoria ferry transfer takes approximately 5 hours from pick up to drop off. Once pick-ups are completed at the Vancouver hotels, you’ll transfer busses at the Vancouver Bus Depot before the drive to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal which is 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic conditions.
Once onboard the ferry, you’ll have free time during the 1.5-hour sailing to explore the various decks which include restaurants, shops, and plenty of seating. There are also multiple outdoor viewing areas where you can take in the sights of the surrounding Gulf Islands.
As the ferry approaches Victoria, you’ll board the bus to be driven off the ferry towards downtown Victoria. Drop-offs in Victoria are done at the Bus Depot (Capital City Station) located at 721 Douglas Street. This central drop-off location directly behind the Fairmont Empress Hotel and is within a 5-minute walk to the majority of our preferred Victoria hotel properties.

Vancouver pick-ups are available from the hotels shown below. If you are staying at one of these hotels, please be ready for pick up 10 minutes prior to the time listed on your itinerary.
If you are not staying at one of these hotel properties, please make your way to the location noted on your itinerary in advance of the listed pick-up time.
Please be patient if your bus does not show up exactly on time as hotel pick-ups can run as late depending on traffic conditions and the number of hotel pick-ups required on your particular travel date. Upon completion of the ferry transfer, you will be dropped off at the Victoria Bus Depot – Capital City Station (721 Douglas Street). This drop-off location is directly behind the Fairmont Empress Hotel and is within walking distance of most Victoria hotels.
