Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Rocky Mountaineer Train from North Vancouver to Whistler

Depart North Vancouver onboard the Rocky Mountaineer train and travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. The train travels through the spectacular Howe Sound with views of the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and the amazing Cheakamus Canyon. Arrive in Whistler and enjoy the remainder of your day in the picturesque surroundings. Breakfast is included aboard the train.

Day 2 - Rocky Mountaineer Train from Whistler to Quesnel

The Rocky Mountaineer leaves early in the morning, headed to the charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Take in the breathtaking and varied scenery, from the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley, through the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon. Pass through the rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau, enjoying all the highlights along the way. These include the magnificent shorelines of Anderson Lake and Seton Lake, breathtaking views of the Fraser Canyon, and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Breakfast and lunch are provided aboard the train.

Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer Train from Quesnel to Jasper

The train makes its way east and approaches the phenomenal snow topped Rocky Mountains and Jasper National Park. You will be surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the Fraser River north to the city of Prince George. Next, you’ll make your way through the forests of northern British Columbia, home to many types of wildlife, including a large population of moose. As you enter the Rocky Mountain Trench, you will observe the Rocky Mountains to the north and the Cariboo Mountains to the south. As you climb past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, you will eventually make your way through Yellowhead Pass into Alberta before arriving in the town of Jasper. Breakfast and lunch are provided aboard the train.
